This abnormal load pictured has a weight in excess of 90 tons and suffered steering failure on the self tracking trailer and then this steered the trailer off the track onto soft ground and demolished the fence on a single track access road to the railway sidings.
At first look the job seems fairly straight forward, until you take into account that 90 tons, which was stuck in soft ground needed to be moved on to the road, with no steering! The trailer is carrying two locomotive bogies and the entire job was done by the Bedford / AWD in the photos in just over four hours.
